A $10 administrative contribution covers the time required to track completed hours and prepare your verification letter.  Payment is required before we can verify your hours and cannot be waived.

You need to provide a court, ticket, case, school, or other reference information so we know what your hours are for.

  • Porchlight keeps a record of completed service; however, it is your responsibility to track as well.

  • Please plan to stay for your full scheduled shift.

  • Volunteer work is hands-on and may include food rescue, sorting groceries, and donation items.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required. Some tasks may involve lifting and physical activity.

  • Electronic use is not permitted during volunteer shifts.

  • Nothing is signed or verified during your volunteer shift.

Once you have completed all required hours, email us to request your verification letter.  Please allow 24 hours for your letter to be prepared.

**A $10 administrative contribution is required for each verification, which covers the time required to review hours and prepare the letter. This is why verification letters are provided after all required hours are completed.
