As a Program Coordinator, you'll manage daily operations, including retail sales, inventory management, food rescue coordination, and volunteer support, ensuring that our organization runs smoothly.


This hands-on, fast-paced role is enriching. You'll work with community members, volunteers, and partners to support sustainable food systems and equitable food access.


Position Details

  • Work Site Location: 8878 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, Suite F, San Diego, CA 92123

    Work Schedules Available:

    • Sunday - Tuesday 9-5

    • Thursday- Saturday 9-5

  • Compensation: $20-25/hour, 90-day probationary period

  • Growth: Possibility of transitioning into full-time based on performance and funding


What would your day-to-day be

Retail & Point of Sale (POS):

  • Run the register, track inventory, and keep the POS system up to date.

  • Help maintain accurate pricing and product info.

  • Support in-store projects and sales events.

Inventory & Market Coordination:

  • Receive, inspect, and organize donations and food purchases.

  • Track inventory and rotate products properly, following food safety guidelines.

  • Keep the market stocked, labeled, and inviting.

Community-Facing Support:

  • Greet and guide community members with warmth and respect.

  • Explain our market and mission to new visitors and volunteers.

  • Be a positive presence in the space.

Operations & Admin Support:

  • Schedule, train, and support volunteers and interns.

  • Keep the market and workspace clean and organized.

  • Assist with data entry, filing, and office tasks.

  • Help prep for events, workshops, and community pop-ups.
