Free Food Basket

Free Food Basket

Welcome! We are so glad you’re here. Porchlight is a sustainable, donor-funded program dedicated to growing a healthier San Diego. Because 90% of our food is purchased through fundraising and the rest is rescued, we are not an emergency food pantry. We offer scheduled, high-quality support to help our neighbors thrive.

Step 1: Check Your Zip Code

To keep our FREE Sponsored Food Basket program sustainable, we focus exclusively on our immediate neighbors.

Our Service Area: Residents of 92110, 92111, 92117, and 92123.

Please note:

If you live outside the area, but could still use the help, we invite you to join our weekly Food Rescued Community market- FoodSHARE. It's open to all San Diego Residents regardless of location or income.

If you prefer to find an agency closer to you, please visit our partnership page for additional resources.

You may be eligible for this service if:

  • You live in Clairemont (92117), Bay Park (92110), Linda Vista (92111), or Serra Mesa (92123).

  • Your household falls within the federal low-income guidelines outlined below
