Service Description
If you need your volunteering or community service verified—whether for school, work, court, or a program that uses forms, apps, or electronic logs—a contribution is required to help cover the admin time involved in tracking and confirming your service. We don’t sign any paperwork during the event. Once your service is completed, you can request verification by emailing porchlightcommunity@gmail.com. During your shift, you’ll help organize supplies, sanitize, set up or host events, rescue food, and do whatever else needs to be done that day. Every task makes a real impact—thank you for being part of it.
Cancellation Policy
Ticket/Court Reference Number: When requesting a verification letter, you must provide a ticket or court reference number. This will be included in your letter for proper documentation. There are no refunds, Credits, or Carryovers on fees. This helps us manage administrative costs, as we have limited staff. 24-Hour Notice for Verification Letters: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to request a verification letter. Due to limited staff, we need sufficient time to process and generate your letter. Complete Shift for Credit: Volunteers must stay the entire shift to receive credit for their hours. Partial shifts will not be counted toward community service completion. Electronics Policy: Use of electronics, including phones, is limited to breaks or lunchtime. Please remain focused on your volunteer tasks during shift hours. Dress Code: Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes are required for safety purposes.
